Plans change.

Oh surgery oh surgery, how I wish you old have gone as planned.

Getting up at 4:30 in the morning to make sure I was on time to the hospital was actually pretty easy. After arriving at the hospital we waited about 30 minutes for them to call me back and get me into my sexy scrubs! The nurse inserted my IV and told me I had another 45 minutes until my surgery. Great. I hate waiting. So Diego and I watched Boy Meets World which actually made me extremely happy and I was wheeled off to surgery with a smile on my face!

Dr. Barton talked to me again about what we were doing and asked how I was feeling. I reminded him that I was very much over being in pain and that I NEEDED him to do WHATEVER he could. Before the amazing anesthesiologist put me under I asked him what he did while the patient was out. He gave me this funny face and told me nobody had ever asked him that before! He then informed me that he would be watching my vitals and reading up on new medicine. He asked me what I thought he would be doing an I told him that I thought he would be reading a golfing magazine like they do on Grey's! He laughed pretty hard at that! And then he put me out!

If you have ever had surgery you know they bring you into a post-op room and have you monitored until you wake up from the anesthesia. I still don't know why the dr. comes and talks to you while you are in and out of consciousness but they do. I never remember half of what they tell me anyways. All I remember was him telling I had to stay the night which meant the surgery hadn't gone as planned. Fail.

They got me settled into my room in the maternity tower and all I wanted was drugs. I was hurting. Once they got some morphine and ibuprofen into me I was starting to feel better. Dr. Barton came by and told me the not so great news. The surgery started out perfectly with just a laser but my body as usual had other plans. He decided to make a two inch incision so he could use his hands but the cysts were so big he had to slice me open a bit more. The surgery was only supposed to take about an hour... It took almost 3. And then he dropped a whopper on me. One ovary and tube aren't working. He didn't take them out because they aren't hurting anything but they definitely won't be helping in the baby making department. It was kind of like a punch in the gut. All I wanted to do was sleep and not think about all the pain.

Day two in the hospital was pure hell. Every pain pill they gave me made me vomit. Not until about 5 pm did they finally figure out a cocktail of drugs that helped me more then it hindered me. The Dr. decided I needed to stay over another night just to monitor me. I was so worried about having to deal with the pain on my own that I was excited to sleep there.

The next morning I was ready to go by 8 in the morning. I was in pain but the pain pills were working and was ready to leave the hospital! Since then all I have done is sleep and it's been awesome and boring all at he same time! Thanks to all my friends and family for worrying about me. I felt so much love!

Wish me luck!

Tomorrow is the big day. And guess what time we have to start the day? 5 A.M.! When I went to my pre surgery appt the amazing Dr. Barton told me that he had scheduled me for early but I figured that meant 7 or 8! Not 5:30!! But my appt went amazingly and we talked about how the procedure will go step by step. This better be the surgery that fixes the last two years of my life or somebody is going to be in trouble. : )

#YOLO

After my last depressing post I should write a positive post! And guess what is keeping me positive?!? Planning a trip to Disney World of course! In two months Diego and I will be sweating our busts off in the happiest place on the planet! Right now I am planning on where we are going to be eating while we are there. Since I am on a pretty strict diet It's just easier for me to cook my own food instead of going to a restaurant  and picking the basics off of their menu. Since we are staying in a condo with a kitchen we will be eating most of our meals there. But if you want to do Disney World right you have to eat at a couple of the amazing places Disney has on their property.  Disney has amazing places that you can just walk up too and order and wait for a table or you can be a Disney snob and plan ahead to eat at a sit down restaurant 6 months in advance. Yes, Disney opens their reservations 6 months in advance and the most popular dining experiences go FAST! Even if you wait till two months before your vacation you will still be able to get reservations at the most popular places but you will have only a couple times a day to choose from.  Last year while planning our trip I was going off of blogs and friends  recommendations and we ate at some amazing places! But this year we are hitting some of the places I have been eying since last year!   So far I have booked two places that I can't wait to eat at: The Hollywood Brown Derby & Jiko: The Cooking Place. Even though these restaurants are some of the most popular places we are still excited to hit up some of our favorite places that you can just walk up too and eat at. Our go to eatery is Fresh A-peel in Downtown  Disney. Oh my amazing. Diego and I have already joked about us going straight from the airport to Fresh A-Peel to get our lunch!  I hope this two months goes by quickly! And if you want to see my reviews from last years eateries look me up on Yelp. Best App Ever!

Sometimes it's hard to stay positive.

Since I am in too much pain from my cramps to get up and I have watched everything on my dvr I might as well update the blog. So life has had its ups and downs since my last post. The good news is I am slowly losing weight and have been going to the gym at least 5 days a week! And the bad news is the endometriosis has come back with a vengeance. After doing the Lupron shots I thought my body was going to cooperate and I would get prego within a couple months and I would finally be done with the hell and pain I had been living with for over a year and a half. But my body didn't change a bit, yes I had 6 months of no pain and that was amazing, but the lupron didnt work for me and now we have to start from the beginning and try a different approach. Yeah, so that's my life right now, fun huh?! Be jealous! ; )

Suckage.

Today was my first weigh in for my 90 day challenge and I was actually excited for it. I have been so faithful about going to the gym and eating healthy that I seriously thought it was going to show on the scale. Well it didn't. I had gained two pounds and I am now in a terrible mood. So in the end I am really discouraged and feel like punching somebody in the face. Yeah I am in a mood. Time for me to go to bed.

#dedication

My homework every night from my trainer is to burn at least 700 calories a day at the gym. I can do whatever machines, weights, or classes as long as the calories add up. There are nights when I get off work and the last thing I want to do is go to the gym but I really am trying to put the effort in. Today at work I asked Diego if he wanted to go on a date with me tonight and after he said yes, I then informed him we would be going to the gym on our date. Tricky arent I?!? So I waited for him to get home from work and let him eat some dinner before I told him that we needed to get going so I could get my workout done before I was dead tired. His phone goes off as we are getting ready to go and I knew that it was about the jazz game. His coworker decided he didnt want the tickets so he asked Diego if he wanted to go. Well I was already in my workout mode and wasnt going to waste it so Diego went with a friend to the game and I got my muscle milk and headed to the gym.

Here is how our nights differed:

 My view of the game:
Saddest part of all this? Knowing I am going to have to be a gym rat for the rest of my life to try and get/be skinny. But shopping is way funner when you are skinny right?! Oh yeah, and being healthy is a plus too. : )

Oh what have I done.

Wow. I am in for an ass kicking. Diego and I joined Lifetime Fitness about a month ago and it has seriously given me so much anxiety. This "gym" is like a miniature country club with all of its amenities. The first two weeks of working out I only saw one other fatty on the whole floor. Up until this last week I would hide in the corner of the gym and do my little workout hoping nobody even noticed me. I work out with a trainer once a week and he has helped expand my horizons to the other side of the gym where all the muscle men hang out. Oh and my trainer deseves a whole post to himself. He is amazing.

Anyways. This whole post is for me to write about what my dumb ass signed up for. A 90 day fitness challenge. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb. But I need to get my act together and I figure this is a good way to get the ball rolling. I actually am really excited for it and I hope I win. Tonight was the last night for people to sign up and so far there are 500 people competing. That's a lot of humans.

Today Jesse and I worked on my core (or lack there of) and I seriously wanted to vomit. And my homework for the week is doing my core exercises every night. Uhhhh. Every night I burn about 700 calories and now I get to add that?!? I sure do love spending almost 2 hours at the gym every night. But at least when I get home I sleep well.

Unless you puke, faint or die, keep going.
